Warosoku (Japanese Candle)
Experience the mesmerizing glow of Warosoku, traditional Japanese candles that have illuminated homes and temples for centuries.
Unlike modern paraffin candles, Warosoku are handcrafted entirely from plant-based materials, such as sumac wax (haze). The secret lies in the unique, hollow wick made from washi paper and rush grass. This structure allows air to flow through the center, creating a flame that is larger, brighter, and seems to sway gently-even in a still room. This phenomenon is often called the "breathing flame."
