Shipping policy

We ship from Japan to customers worldwide. Every order travels with a tracking number.

Processing time

In-stock items are dispatched within 1 to 3 business days. Made-to-order pieces take about one month to make before dispatch, as noted on each product page. We do not ship on weekends or Japanese national holidays.

Delivery time

Once shipped, delivery usually takes 1 to 3 weeks depending on your country. These are estimates. Customs processing and local postal conditions can add time. See Shipping & Delivery for estimates by region.

Shipping rates

Free shipping on orders over around US$200 (¥30,000).
Smaller orders ship at a flat rate of ¥2,000 (around US$13), shown in your currency at checkout.

We primarily use Japan Post for international shipments. Your tracking number arrives in a shipping confirmation email once your order has been dispatched.

Customs, duties and taxes

United States: import duties are prepaid by us and included in the price. There is nothing extra to pay on delivery.

Other countries: your order may be subject to import duties and taxes (including VAT) charged by your local customs when it arrives. These charges are paid by the recipient. Your local customs office can tell you more about the rules in your country.

Our Arrival Promise

Your order arrives intact, or we replace or refund it. Fragile pieces are wrapped in several protective layers before they leave Japan. If anything arrives damaged, or if your package is lost in transit, email support@j-doc.jp within 10 days of delivery with your order number and a photo of the item and its packaging. We cover the cost of the replacement or refund, including shipping.
