Shipping & Delivery

Everything ships from Japan with a tracking number. Here is what to expect between your order and your doorstep.

At a glance

Free shipping on orders over around US$200 (¥30,000).
Smaller orders: flat rate of ¥2,000 (around US$13), shown in your currency at checkout.
United States: import duties are prepaid by us. Nothing extra to pay on delivery.
In-stock items leave Japan within 1 to 3 business days.

Counted from the day your order leaves Japan. Made-to-order pieces need about one month to make first.

These are estimates, not guarantees. Customs checks and local postal conditions can add a few days.

Customs, duties and taxes

United States: we prepay import duties for you, and they are already included in the price you see. There is nothing to pay when your parcel arrives.

All other countries: your local customs may charge import duties and taxes (such as VAT or GST) when the parcel arrives. These are paid by the recipient, and the amount depends on your country. If customs contacts you, replying quickly keeps your parcel moving.

Tracking your order

When your order ships, we email you a tracking number.
Follow it on the Japan Post tracking page while it is on its way out of Japan.
Once it lands in your country, the same number works on your national postal service's website (for example USPS, Royal Mail, Canada Post or Australia Post).

Tracking not updating for more than 7 days? Email support@j-doc.jp and we will look into it with the carrier.

Our Arrival Promise

Your order arrives intact, or we replace or refund it. Fragile pieces are wrapped in several protective layers before they leave Japan. If anything arrives damaged, email support@j-doc.jp within 10 days of delivery with your order number and a photo. We cover the replacement or refund, including shipping.
