Documented
We visited ISOBE in Okazaki, where one family has shaped warosoku by hand for about 300 years.
Fewer, better. Enough for a month of calm.
A 12-piece set for smaller households or first-time users. The burn is even, the light is gentle, and slight maker variations add character, reminders of human hands at work.
Keep a few at the desk, a few by the bath; fold them into your week like good tea.
Key points:
- 12 candles; easy to store and rotate
- Clean burn; minimal soot with proper wick care
- Warm, flattering light for wood, paper, and skin
- Thoughtful entry set or add-on gift
