A shallow rectangular dish in hakuji (白磁), the warm white porcelain that anchors Mino-yaki. Made by Miyama in Mizunami, Gifu. The footprint is generous enough to hold a small pour of soy sauce or sit beneath the matching Haas pitcher to catch drips; the rim turns up gently, almost without you noticing.
Miyama works in the 1,300-year Mino-yaki tradition, but the studio's signature is modern restraint: shapes pared back until only what's needed remains. White porcelain at this register isn't blank — it's the result of a long calibration between body, glaze, and firing.
