Casane Te Sencha Teacup · White Porcelain
A small sencha teacup from Miyama’s Casane Te series — rounded, bare, finished in the same translucent white porcelain that runs across the line. Slip-cast in Mino, Gifu, Japan. The form is the decoration: a gentle inward curve at the foot, a clean lip, the white showing the colour of the tea inside.
Casane Te (重ね手 — “layered by hand”) is designed to combine. The white cup is the constant element — it sits on the Sakura, Ame, or other coloured plates in the line, and the changing saucer turns the same cup into a different setting. Designed by Mami Kawashita.
- Material: White porcelain
- Dimensions: Ø 8.5 × H 5.5 cm
- Capacity: 120 ml
- Care: Dishwasher safe. Microwave safe.
- Origin: Made in Mino, Gifu, Japan
Sized for sencha, genmaicha, or hojicha. The natural pairing in the Sakura colourway is the 11.5 cm pink plate as a saucer and the Sakura dobin teapot — a complete spring setting.
