A small, perfectly round plate from Miyama’s Casane Te series in the Sakura colourway — pale spring pink, the colour of the inside of a petal — with a faint cherry-blossom pattern set into the glaze. Slip-cast in Mino, Gifu, Japan, in the same white porcelain body used across the line, finished in Miyama’s specialty Sakura glaze.
Casane Te (重ね手 — “layered by hand”) is built around pieces that read individually and assemble into a quiet composition when stacked or arranged together. This 11.5 cm plate is the small one in the family: it serves as a saucer for the Casane Te sencha cup, a rest for a wagashi sweet, or a perch for a small dish.
