A low, full-bellied dobin teapot from Miyama’s Casane Te series — 重ね手, “layered by hand” — designed to be combined with the Sakura plate and white sencha cups in the same line. The body is bright white porcelain with a soft pale-pink Sakura lid carrying a faint cherry-blossom pattern, lifted by a hand-bound rattan top handle. Slip-cast in Mino, Gifu, Japan, with a stainless-steel strainer fitted inside the spout.

Casane Te is one of Miyama’s contemporary projects: a tableware vocabulary built around pieces that read on their own and reassemble into quiet still-lifes when stacked. The Sakura colourway is the spring entry to that vocabulary — the pink isn’t loud, it’s closer to the inside of a petal — and the teapot is the anchor.
