Sori Yanagi, 1975. A vision for Japanese tableware.

A revival of Yanagi's original design. In its truest form: undecorated white porcelain, exactly as he first conceived it.

Yanagi held that "form itself is the true pattern." This plain white version is that philosophy without compromise: no motif, nothing added, the shape doing all the work.

It began in 1975. The legendary Sori Yanagi designed a series of tableware intended for daily life.
His very first dedicated to the art of Japanese cuisine.

As time passed, its form drifted from the original with shifts in production. But the spirit of the design endured.

In 2022, we brought it back to life. Guided by Yanagi's initial philosophy, empowered by Miyama's manufacturing technology, and under the full supervision of the Yanagi Industrial Design Institute, the masterpiece was reborn.

The definitive ensemble of the revived Sori Yanagi series.
This comprehensive set embraces the full dining experience, from daily meals to the ritual of tea.
