Aroma Diffuser White – Kaminoka Dual Single Flower Vase, Japanese Washi & Chestnut Wood
A single-flower vase (ichirin-zashi) that does two things at once. A washi flower folded by hand in the centuries-old tsumami technique sits on top — drop essential oil onto its petals to scent the room. Underneath, the vessel itself works as a reed diffuser: fill it with carrier oil, slide in the included reeds, and the fragrance wicks gently into the air. Two ways to use one piece, switchable as moods and seasons change.
The vessel is turned from domestic Japanese chestnut (kuri) and finished with walnut oil, leaving the open grain visible and softly fragrant in its own right. Replace the reeds when you want to change scent without contamination. The compact footprint suits a desk, a washroom counter, a bedside, or the small empty space beside a book.
Made by Tsumami Kanzashi Ayano, a workshop in Matsudo, Chiba, led by Ayano Fujii — a designated maker of Chiba Prefecture's traditional craft of Edo tsumami kanzashi. The "kaminoka" (紙ノ香, "scent of paper") series takes a technique normally reserved for formal silk hair ornaments and translates it into washi-paper objects for everyday rooms.
